I have a certain fascination with post adventure scenarios. I think my lust for sequels isn't so much to see more of the same but simply to get a full closure epilogue where we get to see who hooks up with who, if anybody stayed in touch with each other, if they ever accomplished any of their non plot related goals and so on. I guess that's why I have no problem with the 10 ending ending to Lord of the Rings. You could also go the rout of Porky's and give everyone a brief destiny description at the end of the movie. What I don't like is killing off main characters at the beginning of the next movie or writing them out in between movies.
