I find it interesting how there are so many brown and black skinned girls with blonde or white hair in Japanese illustrations and character designs. The aesthetic can be pretty striking and isn't only limited to the land of the rising sun with Storm being the most predominant western example to come to mind.
  
I think that the tribal and naturalistic styles are over looked far too much when it comes to the wild  or forest elves. When you think about it a people who would want to be close with nature and have little negative impact on it wouldn't be running around in 5 layer dresses, a whole bunch of plate mail, or even a fancy dress coat but clothes made out of animal & plant mater or nothing at all and would craft things out of traded, gifted, or scavenged goods.

Of all the background NPCs in Twilight Princess I liked the blue-eyed blacktino fishing girl named Hena the most. Aside form Midna you get the most interaction and dialog with her (which sadly isn't much) by way of looking around the inside of her cabin. There is a way to get a sinking lure in the boat fishing part but I can't remember it so you'll need to look it up. As for he Hylian Loch I never caught it due to the fact that the seasons got stuck so it's never spring time.

this gorgeous drawing gives me the feeling of that girl is rather down to earth and feels at piece with the simple things in nature like little filtering beasts and a cool breeze on her bosom whilst she weaves a sweet woodwind melody for no particular reason whatsoever.

Another aspect that this that greatly appeals to me is the fact that she's Asian. Non European themes & styles in "mainstream" western produced fantasy is far too scarce and on the few occasions you do see it it tends to be the trite exotic far east samurai stuff with little personality to it.
