Record of Lodoss war is a huge Japanese fantasy franchise which started out as table top RPG and went on to incompass novels, Manga, video games, and a couple anime TV programs.

As for the artist Meguru Fukuzou he's a real mixed bag. Of the work I've seen of his it goes form cute and romantic to very disturbing. These next 2 fall in the middle with the 1st being happy while the 2nd kinda looks a bit rape-y especially without the 1st as a prologue to the intercourse.
